Mr. Kamis is the Principal and President of APEX Global Engineering Inc. He has over 30 years of industry experience in all aspects of the petroleum industry, with an emphasis in reservoir and evaluation engineering, both domestically and internationally.  He has participated in all aspects of petroleum engineering with emphasis on reserves and economic feasibility evaluations.

Douglas MacLellan, P. Eng
Sr. Engineer

Professional Experience and Responsibilities:

Mr. MacLellan has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas.  Over his carrier, he has worked in various positions from junior engineer up to and including President, COO and CEO of public companies.  His experience and expertise span Canada and the United States, with focus in the Engineering and Production sectors of the business. 

He is a Professional Engineer with a background in: 

    - Production
    - Reservoir and Economic Evaluation in Gas
    - Conventional Oil and Oil Sands (in situ and mineable)
    - Drilling and Facility

He has gained executive experience in developing and carrying out the financing of a start-up public company, establishing field operations overseas, as well as managing a heavy oil and an oil sands group with a major oil company.  Mr. MacLellan has successfully managed international negotiations, communications with an array of senior government officials here in Canada and abroad.  His managerial experience has been gained through coordinating and directing the initiation, development and growth of a major petroleum project and his practical engineering experience has been developed in applying technological advances in horizontal drilling to field success.  

He has also demonstrated his public skills through active involvement in the:
    - CPA (Canadian Petroleum Association- now CAPP)
    - CHOA (Canadian Heavy Oil Association)
    - ACR (Alberta Chamber of Resources)
    - Oil Sands Task Force.

Champak Bhaumik, P. Eng

Professional Experience and Responsibilities: 

Mr. Bhaumik has in excess of forty years of diverse technical, operational and senior management experience in drilling, processing, optimization and field facilities optimization. He has extensive hands-on experience in operational cost reductions as well as capital budget planning.  He has worked both internationally and domestically, both onshore and offshore.

Dr. Ashok Singhal, P. Eng
Associate

Mr. Singhal is an associate providing reservoir engineering expertise specializing in assisting in the screening and development of optimal technology strategies to exploit hydrocarbon resources including: 

    - Oil sands
    - Heavy oil
    - Conventional and tight oil

He has over 30 years of experience as a: 


    - Supervisor
    - Engineer
    - Consultant and research scientist in the oil industry and research organization 
      where he worked on Enhanced Oil Recovery Screening (E.O.R.S)
    - Project Development
    - Implementation and evaluation of various recovery schemes to exploit existing 
      oil and gas resources or to assure that tight oil resources would become 
      commercially viable in the medium to long terms.

Gordon Bishop
Operations Manager

​​Professional Experience and Responsibilities:

  
Mr. Gordon Bishop has been active in the oil and gas industry since 1989, when he started as an ‘operator and Rig Manager’ which involved the drilling of wells and managing rig operations. Gord worked in field operations drilling and eventually managing drilling rigs, both onshore and offshore up until 2004. The rigs and drilling operations he managed ranged from shallow 1200 m ( 4000 feet) to 3500 m (12,000 feet). In 2004 he joined Husky Energy as Huskys’ Chief Wellsite consultant working in their NW and NE Alberta areas of operations, specifically in the Boyer area of NW Alberta, and in the Lloydminster area of NE Alberta. While in the Lloydminster area, Gord was heavily involved in Huskys’ development of their heavy oil operations. He subsequently moved to completions and workovers from drilling and worked extensively through the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin. After stints with Devon, and Apex Energy Consultants Inc, as Drilling and Completions co-ordinator, he then started with Cenovus Energy Inc., where he worked as Completions and Workover Superintendent, managing the drilling,  completions and workovers at the Cenovus Energy Inc. –Christina Lake heavy oil field, in NE Alberta.
Gord has through his extensive experience, received certification in Safety Management regulatory awareness, WHIMIS, EGSO, Vapor Plume Recognition, H2S Alive and other industry certification programs.

Mr. Snow is an associate with over 30 years of research and work experience supporting and building critical relations with the oil and gas industry and Aboriginal Communities.  Throughout his career Mr. Snow has: 

    - Lead land, engineering and environment teams and projects
    - Negotiated complex, multi-party agreements to develop oil and gas drilling, oil 
      sands, pipeline, plant and utility infrastructure development 
    - Led and supervised several Acquisition and Divestment teams and projects 
    - Works effectively with Aboriginal communities and achieved success in 
      government relations, earning a Deputy Ministerial award for changes to the         
      Indian Oil and Gas Act (2010)
